inVent: Everyone says you need a 0 degree bag for winter camping, but my 20 degree bag with a liner worked fine
Seriously, good on you for making that work. I've done the same thing with my 30 degree bag and a thick wool blanket when it dropped into the 20s. People get so hung up on the exact rating, but layering up inside the bag is a total game changer. A good pad is half the battle anyway. Saves a ton of cash.

PSA: When crane inspections run late, push ahead or hold position?
Come on, is it really that black and white? I get the point about insurance, but auditors always say stuff like that to scare you. Most of the time, nothing happens if you're careful and know what you're doing. A small delay can snowball into huge costs and missed deadlines too. Isn't the real world usually about balancing risk, not just following every rule to the letter?
