I left a window open during a rainstorm and a few drops hit a stack of my older books. One of them was a mid-90s X-Men issue I really liked, and the cover got a ripple in it. I looked up a method using a cool iron and some parchment paper, which sounded risky. But I gave it a shot, pressing gently over the damp spot. It took a few tries, but the wrinkle mostly came out. The colors didn't run or anything, which was a relief. Now that book sits in a bag and board, and I check the weather before I air out the room. It's a small win, but it feels good to have saved part of my collection.

Spotted an awesome dahlia display at our county's fall festival
