Found a box of old home movies from a 1998 family reunion at a garage sale in Omaha.

I bought the whole box for five bucks and when I played the tape, there's a solid three minutes of just a kid pointing a camcorder at a storm drain at night. It's silent except for some weird clicking sounds from the drain. Has anyone ever found footage like this where nothing seems to happen but it still feels super creepy?

Whoa, that's the exact vibe of those "found footage" creepypastas. I read about a guy who found a VHS tape labeled "Backyard, July 1994" and it was just twenty minutes of a static shot of a tree at night with a faint buzzing sound. Nothing moved, but it freaked him out so bad he threw the tape away. That silent, waiting feeling is worse than a jump scare.

Honestly pat42, that kind of thing just sounds boring to me. Give me a good jump scare any day over watching a silent tree.
