inShowerthought: I used to think a glory hole was just for big pieces
Honestly, I think saving a glory hole for big gathers is just smart. You learn a specific way for a reason, and sticking to it keeps your process clean. Changing up how you use a core tool halfway through a project is asking for mistakes. If a part is cooling too fast, that's what a bench burner or a hand torch is for, not messing with your main heat source setup. Some tools just have one job, and trying to make them do everything makes you sloppy.

inMy professor insisted we only use two typefaces per project, and after trying it on a recent branding job, the layouts felt way cleaner.
Limiting fonts like your professor said stops me from wasting time on endless font pairings.

inWent to the beach in Santa Monica and the amount of plastic washed up was just unreal
Was it actually plastic or a mix of stuff? I ask because last time I went, it was mostly cigarette butts and food wrappers. Plastic bottles too, but those are easy to spot. Maybe if we talk about the SPECIFIC trash, like "this many butts in one spot," it hits harder than just saying "plastic.
