A veteran tech in Omaha told me to always check the oil cooler housing on a 6.7 Powerstroke before you even start the engine.
He said he's seen three trucks this month alone with coolant in the oil from a cracked housing, and that quick check saved him from a $15,000 engine job on a customer's rig last Tuesday.

That's solid advice right there. A quick look can save you from a world of hurt and a huge bill. Smart money is on checking it every single time.

Yeah, tell that to my past self who learned the hard way. The universe just loves to hide a nail right in the perfect spot. Now I check like my wallet depends on it, because it kinda does.

Wait, you didn't used to check every time? I mean, that's just asking for trouble.
