I used to think you had to bake cookies right after you mixed the dough

Ever try to bake with melted butter straight from the microwave?

Update: Saw a really clean repair on a classic Bronco at a car show in Springfield

Wait, have you ever considered that the factory texture is part of the car's character? @leo667, if a repair is meant to be invisible, wouldn't the highest skill be copying the original flaws perfectly? Making it smoother might look better to a detailer, but it stands out next to the rest of the car. That mismatch would bug me way more than some orange peel. The goal is a seamless fix, not an improvement.

TIL the official story about the 2013 meteor over Chelyabinsk changed after a few years.

Notice how forecasts get more accurate as the date gets closer, though. That's not facts shifting, it's just getting better data. Recalls often happen because new info comes to light, not because the old facts were wrong. Feels like a sign of learning, not hiding things.

My uncle, who's been a finish carpenter for 40 years, just called my dovetails 'factory perfect' and it kinda pissed me off

Wait, I get where you're coming from, but I actually love when my handwork looks machine clean. For me, the soul is in knowing I did it, not in showing the struggle. If I can make a dovetail that sharp by hand, that's the whole point to me.

I finally made air fryer dessert bites for my book club

Oh man, that reminds me of my friend's first try. She was so sure she could skip chilling the dough (sorry @young.lucas, she didn't listen). The outside looked like little charcoal briquettes in about three minutes, but she cracked one open and pure raw dough oozed out. We called them "lava cakes" as a joke, but they were truly a crime against baking. Her dog wouldn't even eat the one we dropped.
