A wonky fence mural near my place gave me layout ideas
I walk by this old fence every day on my way to grab groceries. Last week, someone painted a bright, messy mural on it with crazy shapes. At first I thought it was just random, but the way the colors and forms fit together caught my eye. I took a picture and later used it as a base for a flyer I was making for a friend. Juggling those odd shapes helped me break out of my usual grid pattern. My friend said the flyer looked unique and eye-catching. It's a tiny victory, but it made me happy to use something from my own street. Now I'm always looking at local stuff for new design sparks.
