Absolutely, some of my best ideas come from mundane spots like peeling paint on old walls. Once I saw a perfect texture match in the cracks of a sidewalk and used it for a project. @the_ivan has a point about training your eye to see colors in ordinary things. It's not about special locations but how you look at the world around you. My process improved once I started taking photos of random stuff like oil stains or fabric folds. That kind of raw, direct inspiration beats curated design sites every time.

See, I don't agree with @the_thea on this. Colors are everywhere if you're looking for them, not just in special places. It's more about noticing than finding.
