inShoutout to the clinic in Lexington that finally got my forge weld to stick
Honestly I've had the opposite experience. I stopped using borax and my welds got WAY cleaner. That stuff can leave a real mess in the fire if you're not careful.

inSpent $300 on a professional steamer for facials and it's been a total game changer for extractions.
Know exactly what you mean. I used to struggle with extractions for so long and it was so frustrating. Getting a proper steamer made the whole process way easier and way less painful. It really is worth the investment if you do this regularly. My skin is so much clearer now and I don't have to fight with it.

inShoutout to the long drill cycle that saved my shop floor
Actually, checking them cold before you start is way easier to spot problems.

inShowerthought: I used to think a glory hole was just for big pieces
Okay, that line about saving it for big gathers hits home. I've totally been that person, treating my medium-sized marver like it was only for straightening cane. Used it for years before I saw someone just rest a punty on it to cool a bit. Felt like I needed a manual for my own studio, you know?

inLooking through an old trade magazine from 2005 and the ad prices for a basic panel were wild
Yeah, that "lasted 20 years" line is spot on, @seanh91. My buddy had an old furnace panel go out, and the repair guy said the same thing. He just shrugged and said they really don't make them like that anymore.
