I thought 'The Bear' was just another cooking show, but I was totally wrong
I kept seeing people talk about it online and thought, 'Great, more chefs yelling in a kitchen.' My friend finally made me watch the first episode last month, and I was hooked by the end of the opening scene. It's not really about food at all, it's about stress, family, and trying to fix a broken thing. The way they show the chaos of the kitchen actually made me feel anxious, in a good way. I ended up watching the whole first season in one weekend, which I never do. The part where he finds the money in the tomato cans? I did not see that coming. Has anyone else had a show surprise them like that, where you went in with low expectations and got totally sucked in?
