The guy at the camera swap meet told me my photos were 'too sharp'

Wow, that really hits home. I had a similar wake-up call a while back when a friend pointed out my edits looked like a medical textbook. It stung at first, but it changed everything about how I shoot. Overly clean photos can feel so sterile and boring, like they have no soul or mood to them. A little grain or a blown out highlight can make a shot feel alive and real. Getting knocked down like that is honestly the best thing for your growth as a photographer, right?

Hit my 100th coworking space yesterday and it felt weirdly sad

I actually read a study that said digital nomads hit a wall around the 18 month mark where the novelty wears off and loneliness sets in hard. 100 coworking spaces sounds like you've been running from that feeling instead of sitting with it. Do you think you're chasing perfect coffee and wifi or just trying to avoid staying still?

Just realized I wasted $200 on a torque wrench I never needed

Man that stings. I did the same thing with a pipe bender a few years back, bought it for one job that ended up getting canceled, and it's been sitting in my garage ever since collecting dust. The worst part is I already had a bender that would've worked for most stuff, just not that specific conduit size I needed for a week. Then the project got scrapped and I was out $180 for a tool that looks pretty hanging on the pegboard but that's about it. Honestly I feel like half my tool collection is just me being impulsive at the supply house when I'm in a hurry and then regretting it later.

Found out film can survive a trip through the washing machine

Wait, the plane crash thing reminds me, did anyone see that post where a guy accidentally put a roll of film through the dryer too? I remember someone saying the heat actually warped the plastic spool inside and fused some of the film together. I bet if you really pushed it you could get a whole new look, like those lomography cameras that mess with the exposure on purpose. Maybe next time try the spin cycle on delicate, see if you get more artsy results than just faded colors. But hey, 15 out of 24 is still a win in my book, I'd call that a pretty good laundry day for a film nerd.

Just saw a stat that 73% of B2B buyers expect vendors to personalize content to their industry, found it in a Demand Gen report

Gotta disagree a little here. Sometimes those case studies are a way to show you what they can do, even if it's not your exact industry. I actually kind of like seeing how a company handled a totally different challenge - it tells me about how they think and solve problems, not just how well they copy-paste my sector. The key is whether the vendor is explaining why they picked that example for you, not just hitting send on whatever's in their folder. If they can tell me "here's why this healthcare case matters for your manufacturing line" then it starts to feel like research instead of spam.
