I finally gave up on my old way of making frozen fries
For months, I was stuck between just dumping the bag straight into the basket or doing a whole pre-soak and pat dry thing I saw online. I always picked the dump method because it was fast, but my fries kept coming out kinda soggy and pale. Last week, I got fed up and tried the soak for 30 minutes in cold water, dried them with paper towels, then tossed them with just a teaspoon of oil. The difference was crazy. They got super crispy on the outside and stayed fluffy inside, like proper diner fries. I mean, it adds maybe 10 extra minutes, but it's worth it. Idk, maybe it's just me but I feel like I was wasting good potatoes before. Has anyone else tried this method with other frozen veggies, like maybe cauliflower?
