inCan we talk about that 'premium' drafting pencil set I bought for $85 that snapped the lead every single time?
Ugh, that's the worst feeling. Honestly, I've had that happen with a fancy drafting pencil too, where the lead just disintegrates the second you put any pressure on it. Tbh it makes you want to throw the whole expensive set out the window. Nothing beats the cheap one that just works.

inTIL those corner bead crimpers actually work
Exactly, @harper_gibson2. The metal bead crimper is the only way to go. I fought with those flimsy plastic ones for years, always getting a stupid little bulge no matter how careful I was. Switched to crimping the metal corner bead last year and my corners are actually sharp now.

inHonestly, I'm still mad about that $80 'competition-grade' injection marinade kit
weirdly salty and wet" is the perfect description.

inTried to fix my old iPod Classic with a new battery, now it just shows a sad folder icon.
Yeah, listen to @paul_webb45. That ribbon cable is super easy to nudge loose. You gotta open it back up and push the little connector in until it clicks. If that doesn't work, the drive itself might have finally died, which is a real bummer.

inBought a $25 light meter app and it saved my whole roll
Totally get that, my camera's meter freaks out in mixed light too. Used a free app last fall for some backlit family shots on film. The phone just handled the bright window and dark room way better. Honestly felt like cheating, but the photos came out perfect. Would have ruined the whole roll guessing at settings. Now the app stays on my phone for tricky light, no shame in it lol.
