inHad to pick between a big team layoff or a company-wide pay cut last year
Yeah, those kinds of decisions really stick with you. Sounds like you handled it as well as anyone could.

inI used to think a French press was the only way to make coffee at home. Then I went to a cafe in Seattle that served a pour-over so clean and bright, it changed my whole morning routine.
What changed your mind? I was a total French press guy for years, thought pour-over was just extra work. Then I got a V60, @charlie_roberts87. That first cup was so much cleaner, really tasted the bright notes in my beans. Totally switched me over.

inJust spent 3 hours trying to fix a single stabilizer rattle
Totally get that. Feels like half the time you chase a problem, the real cause ends up being something simple you never thought to check.

inPSA: A random guy at a con in Portland told me my map looked like a real estate brochure
Yeah, the "real estate brochures" thing is a perfect example. It's everywhere once you start looking. Like those ads for "luxury" apartments that are just normal buildings with a fancy font. Or restaurant menus calling a basic burger "artisanal". Feels like they're all selling a fantasy version of the thing instead of the actual thing.

inI switched from hand sanding to a dual action sander for feathering edges about 3 years ago and it cut my time in half.
Why did it take me so long to figure that out?
