My 2018 F-150's cam phaser rattle showed up right at 72,000 miles

That cam phaser rattle is like the official soundtrack of the 2010s F-150. Seen so many buddies go through it. Honestly would just stick with the Ford parts, the aftermarket lockouts can get weird.

My brother said my grocery bill was too high for just two people

Last month at the grocery store, the whole roaster I usually buy was over $14. I started buying the split breasts in the family pack instead, @derek_dixon78. It's way cheaper per pound, and I just freeze what I don't use right away. I roasted some with potatoes and carrots last night, and it fed us for two dinners.

PSA: The one thing that finally made me see the moon landing debate differently

Honestly, that garage demo sounds like it just proves you can make anything look right if you set it up that way. @the_miles, your camera test is the same deal, a simple model in a room isn't the same as the complex conditions up there. Some of those old photos still have problems no lamp on a desk can fix.

I chose a basic drip machine over a fancy pour-over setup and don't regret it

You're just making bad coffee faster. The ritual is part of the quality.

Found a weird fact about old Maytag washers in a library book

That bit about them expecting you to fix things really hits home. My grandpa had the same kind of washer, sagesingh, and he could take the whole thing apart with a basic wrench. Now if my machine makes a weird noise I have to call a specialist who tells me it's cheaper to just replace it. They don't even make the parts for most models past five years anymore. It feels like we traded real ownership for just renting stuff until it breaks.
