inThat time a storm in Tulsa showed me why post spacing matters
Actually, deeper is for frost heave, not wet ground. Spacing alone works fine in clay.

Four years of woodworking taught me that @jadeg81, most meltdowns come right when you think you're almost done.

inJust read that cedar posts can last 30 years in the ground without treatment
Honestly, that study sounds like best case scenario. Ngl, most real world stuff starts getting sketchy way before 30 years.

inI used to think the new park near downtown was a waste of space
Started paying more attention to those small spaces after I tripped over a broken curb last year. Made me realize how much crap we just walk past without noticing. A little more awareness never hurts.

inTalked to a guy in a Chiang Mai cafe who called coworking spaces 'glorified libraries'
That bit about "random conversations at the coffee machine" stuck with me. I actually heard a podcast where a guy who runs a few coworking spots said most people never talk to anyone. They just stare at their laptops all day. Kind of defeats the whole purpose if you ask me. Paying a premium for a library with better coffee isn't really a community. I've heard the same thing from friends who tried them. They all said the same thing, it's mostly just quiet and awkward.
