Question about a stubborn dimension override in a recent AutoCAD project

Spent almost four hours yesterday trying to fix a single dimension that kept overriding my style settings on a floor plan. Anyone know a quick way to force a dimension to fully adopt the current style without exploding it?

Finally got the hang of setting up a tubeless tire without the mess

For years I'd fight with the tire bead and use a whole can of sealant, making a huge sticky mess in my garage. Then a mechanic in Tucson showed me to use a little soapy water on the bead and a fast shot from my floor pump, which worked first try last week. What's your go-to trick for getting that last bit of bead to seat without a compressor?

I finally got my AI to stop generating gibberish by adding a single line of code to the prompt.

After my model kept outputting nonsense for a project in Austin, I added 'Respond in complete, grammatical sentences.' and the quality jumped immediately, so has anyone found a better fix for this?

The PS2 at the local flea market had a weird fix I'd never seen before

I was at the flea market in San Antonio last weekend and saw a vendor selling a fat PS2. He said it wouldn't read discs, so he'd opened it up and put a piece of folded cardboard under the laser assembly to tilt it. He claimed it worked for about a week before failing again. In my experience, that's a really bad band-aid fix that can mess up the gears. Has anyone else run into these kinds of oddball repairs out in the wild, and what did you do to actually fix the console?

I was reading a study from the University of Chicago yesterday. It said 68% of people who start a bullet journal keep using it for more than 12 months. My 2005 F-150 just rolled over 300,000 miles on the original engine

I always figured I'd need a rebuild or a new truck by 250k, but I've just kept up with basic oil changes and used good filters. The odometer hit that big number yesterday on my way home from work, and the old 5.4 Triton is still running smooth. What's the highest mileage you've seen on one of these motors without a major rebuild?

My writing prompt notebook got soaked at a Portland coffee shop

I was at a place called Stumptown last week, working on a sci-fi prompt about sentient rain. My iced coffee tipped over and soaked the whole notebook. I mean, 47 pages of ideas just turned into a blurry mess. I spent the next hour trying to dry it with the hand dryer in the bathroom, but most of it was just gone. Has anyone else had a physical disaster with their writing notes? What did you do to save them, or did you just have to start over?

I stopped using soap to clean my pan for a full month

My cousin called my coop a 'predator buffet' and he was right

Honestly, I thought my setup was fine. I had a simple wooden coop with a small run in my Phoenix backyard, and I just locked the girls up at night. My cousin came over last spring, took one look, and said, 'Ivan, this is a predator buffet. A raccoon will have that door open in ten seconds.' He pointed out the flimsy latch, the chicken wire instead of hardware cloth, and the lack of a dig guard. I was annoyed at first, but I changed it all. I spent about $150 on proper hardware cloth, buried it a foot deep, and got a serious locking bolt. Two weeks later, I found clear raccoon paw prints right outside the new fence. They tried and failed. Has anyone else had a close call that made them totally redo their security?
