Gawd, I feel this in my bones. I mean, it's such a simple thing but it makes total sense once you know. I did the same thing but with my waterer placement. Had it in full shade thinking it'd keep the water cool but they barely touched it until I moved it into the sun. Idk why we overthink this stuff, the birds basically tell you what they need if you just watch them. Lowkey embarrassing how long it took me to figure out.

You sure 70% is the problem, not just not letting it dry long enough? I use 70% all the time on electronics and just give it 10-15 minutes to air out before powering on.

Respectfully gotta disagree here. If this was for a friend's birthday present, that's a whole lot of trust to bank on them not noticing a mistake in something they'll actually wear. I'd rather spend the 30 minutes fixing it properly than have the whole thing unravel later when they find out.
