inMy unpopular opinion: Saying no to extra gigs made my freelance career better.
Not sure I agree with that. Sometimes saying yes to random work, like you mentioned @felix_coleman87, has led me to my best long term clients.

inPro tip: Chat about movie critics to make slow work hours fly by
I saw an interview where a critic admitted they actually love terrible movies but can't say that in a real review. They have to act all serious for their job, but then they go home and watch the same silly stuff we do! That's why their harsh takes are so over the top sometimes, it's like they're playing a character. It just makes those reviews more fun to fight about with friends.

inUnpopular opinion: Going away wrecks my at home fitness schedule
Actually, getting thrown off your normal routine is a good wake up call sometimes. Being too stuck in your home schedule makes you brittle (like a seized bolt that snaps when you finally try to turn it). A break forces you to adapt, and maybe you find a ten minute walk on the beach does more for you than your usual yoga. The tight muscles you felt were probably from travel stress, not skipping stretches. Next trip, just try moving in any fun way that fits the new place instead of forcing the old plan.
