Pro tip: Chat about movie critics to make slow work hours fly by
Last week, while moving boxes for a client, we got stuck waiting for an elevator. He brought up a tough review for that new comedy, and we ended up talking about it for twenty minutes. It made the wait feel shorter and we both enjoyed the chat. I never thought critic opinions could be such a good icebreaker.

So, I was just reading about how critic reviews can really split people. Take that sci-fi film from a few months ago, where one big paper loved it and another hated it. I brought that up during a coffee break at work, and we spent a good half hour talking about it. It really does make time pass faster when you're stuck in a dull moment. Critics often have strong views that get people talking, which is perfect for killing time.

Critics miss the fun stuff. Actually, it's funny how they dunk on dumb comedies or cheesy horror movies. Those are the exact films people love to debate in line or on a slow shift. Like, arguing about a bad vampire movie is way more fun than discussing some perfect, boring drama. Their harsh reviews give you an easy starting point to just shoot the breeze.

I saw an interview where a critic admitted they actually love terrible movies but can't say that in a real review. They have to act all serious for their job, but then they go home and watch the same silly stuff we do! That's why their harsh takes are so over the top sometimes, it's like they're playing a character. It just makes those reviews more fun to fight about with friends.
