Trying to get crispy tofu in my air fryer wasted a whole evening

Ugh, that sounds so frustrating, I've totally been there. I once spent an entire Sunday trying to make seitan from scratch because a blog said it was easy. My kitchen looked like a flour bomb went off and the final product had the texture of a bike tire. I just wanted a sandwich, lol. Sometimes those simple-sounding recipes are the biggest time traps.

Found something nasty in my sealed jar from 2020

That's a total bio jar horror story. Regular soil is basically a mold buffet in a sealed glass box. The Phoenix heat turning it into a slow cooker didn't help. I'd just toss the whole thing, jar and all. Not worth the risk of breathing in those spores. Next time, sterile mix and maybe a little charcoal are your best friends.

My weekly spreads went from a mess to clear in 90 days after one change

Totally get that about the visual cue making it stick. It's like how putting your gym clothes out the night before makes you way more likely to actually go. The act of making it physical, even just with a colored block, tricks your brain into taking it seriously. We need those little bridges between planning and doing, or the plan just stays an idea. Your deep work block is a perfect example of building one of those bridges.

TIL those super cheap digital map brushes are often just stolen art

Yeah I got burned last month on a camera lens deal. The reverse image search pulled up the same photos from three different scam sites.

I was tracking my spending wrong for years without knowing it

My friend had a real wake up call when her car needed new brakes. She swore she had enough saved, but her account was basically empty. Turns out she was dropping like fifty bucks a week on fancy coffee and smoothies without even noticing. Writing it all down was a pain, but she saw the pattern right away. Now she makes coffee at home and that brake fund is actually growing, lol.
