Found out dryer sheets are ruining my machine's sensor

Was pulling a load of towels out last week and noticed they were still damp even after a full cycle. Took me an hour of digging through forums on my phone to figure out the lint buildup on the moisture sensor was from the anti-static coating on those sheets. Cleaned it off with a scrubby sponge and some rubbing alcohol and it worked perfect again. Anybody else run into this or have a better way to keep that sensor clean?

I thought I was being smart by going with a company that promised 50 vetted B2B leads a month for $850. The first month they sent me 52 leads, but 40 of them were just recycled contacts from public LinkedIn groups. I called 15 of them and 12 said they never requested any info about my service. When I asked for a refund after month 2, they pointed to their fine print about 'lead quality not guaranteed.' By month 4 I had spent $3,400 and booked exactly 2 meetings that went nowhere. Tried isopropyl alcohol vs contact cleaner on a sticky NES cartridge slot. Alcohol won by a mile.

Had this old NES that kept glitching out on the first boot. Figured it was the 72 pin connector acting up again. Read online that some people swear by contact cleaner for this. Gave it a shot with a can of CRC QD. Worked okay for like a day then the problem came back. Swapped to 91% isopropyl alcohol and a toothbrush. Scrubbed the pins, let it dry, and its been running perfect for two weeks straight now. Way cheaper too. Anyone else have better luck with one over the other?

Took me 3 years to realize I was trimming hind feet backwards

I've been shoeing for about 6 years now, mostly on my own. Yesterday I was working on a 4-year-old draft cross in Tulsa and my buddy stopped by to chat. He watched me trim the left hind and just sort of tilted his head. He asked why I start at the toe and work back on the hind but start at the heel on the front. I told him I didn't even think about it, that's just how I always did it. He pointed out I was basically fighting the natural motion of the leg, making the horse shift weight weird. I pulled up a video from a clinic I went to in 2021 and sure enough, I had been doing it opposite the whole time. The horse even stood quieter when I tried it his way for the right hind. Has anyone else had one of those moments where you realize you've been doing something basic completely wrong for years?
