A delivery van breakdown in the middle of a downtown wedding setup

The van's engine died right outside the venue, so I had to carry three large centerpiece arrangements six blocks in the rain. Anyone else had a delivery disaster and how did you handle it?

That flat tire lesson is a good one. I keep a collapsible hand truck in my trunk now for exactly this kind of thing. It's saved me more than once when a parking spot was farther than expected.

Carry three large centerpieces six blocks in the rain" is brutal. I used to think a dolly was overkill until a flat tire taught me otherwise.
