Okay, I was wrong about the whole 'no spoilers' rule in our club

My first few years going solo I woulda rolled my eyes at that kinda talk. But yeah, after a few breakdowns and random chats turned into solid friendships, I get it now. What's the best thing that came out of a bad situation for you?

Visited a new build in Phoenix and noticed the carpet was laid before the drywall finished

Yeah, I get that point @faith_thomas, but I've gotta push back on "a little dust" - that stuff gets everywhere. I've seen paint chips and drywall dust work their way deep into carpet fibers, and even a good vacuum can't always get it out without grinding it in more. Then you're stuck with that permanent faded spot or textured mess that no one wants. So to me, it still feels like you're rolling the dice either way, just with different kinds of damage. I'd rather wait the two days and not have to worry about my carpet looking like a craft project gone wrong.

My bokashi bin smelled like pickles not rot, I was wrong about it

Right? I was fully expecting my bin to smell like a frat house garbage can but it just smells like a jar of pickles that someone left in a closet for a month. Honestly the only downside is now I crave a Reuben every time I open it. You and me both were proved wrong on this one for sure.

That $50 sleeping pad liner was a total scam for me

Yeah, like @the_skyler said, those Therm-a-Rest liners are more about keeping your bag clean than adding real warmth. A buddy of mine bought the same one and ended up ditching it halfway through a trip to Yosemite because he was waking up sweaty and cold. He finally just gave it to his brother who uses it as a sack for dirty clothes now.

Warning: Our cold email sequence backfired hard last week

claireg81 said "sent a mass email with a typo in the subject line" like that's some huge disaster. 14 replies out of 200 and half were just people asking about the broken link? Thats not a campaign blowing up, thats a minor hiccup. I bet most of those construction managers don't even read past the first email anyway. If a broken link is enough to tank your whole sequence, the offer probably wasnt that strong to begin with. Just fix the link and send a quick apology to the people who replied, itll be fine.
