Lowkey disagree about the camera being extra though. Scanning medicine bottles with tiny expiry dates is where it saves me, or random pantry stuff that got shoved behind other things. The receipt method falls apart the second you buy something not on a grocery run. Having both systems working together is what actually makes the kitchen feel future proof, imo.
