Extra drying time cleared up my scan problems for good
I had this roll from a family reunion a while back. I always developed it quick but skipped on full drying. My scans came out with streaks and dust every single time. Last week, I hung it in the bathroom overnight instead of rushing. Woke up to see the negatives were totally clean and dry. Scanning them was so much easier and the pictures look sharp. It took me ages to learn that simple patience step.

My first time developing color film was in a makeshift darkroom in my garage. I was so eager to see the pictures that I didn't let the fixer rinse properly. The negatives had a weird haze, and I almost gave up on film photography. It took me three ruined rolls to figure out that rushing the process just messes everything up.

Rinse for five minutes while moving the tank around. Why risk ruining another roll?

Ever think about your water quality messing with the rinse? Hard water leaves spots even if you time it right.
