Spent a whole shift on a clogged cutterhead that turned out to be a snapped shear pin

Honestly, that kind of tunnel vision happens to the best crews, not just the new guys.

Warning: I almost gave up on a 1970s French bottom bracket last Tuesday.

Ever try that acetone mix on a bike? I mean, it got a seized bottom bracket loose for me after pb blaster did nothing. Stone.thomas is right that patience helps, but sometimes you need the nasty stuff.

My neighbor saw me scrub my pan with soap and gave me a look.

My grandma's no-soap rule was basically cast iron gospel in our house. Modern dish soap is way milder than the lye-based stuff from her day, so it's perfectly safe. I switched years ago and my pans have never been happier.

My whole art week got wrecked by a single corrupted PSD file

My buddy tried one of those cheap recovery apps last year after his PSD got corrupted. It basically just pulled up a garbled mess of layers with all the blending modes wrong. He lost a whole client project because the file was huge, like 200 layers with smart objects. He ended up having to redo everything from old JPEGs. Now he saves locally and has Backblaze running in the background as a failsafe.

PSA: A local in a small Greek town showed me a food hack that saved me over 100 euros

Wait, you got fresh bread, olives, and feta for just 5 euros a day? That's unbelievable. I was in a similar town last year and the feta alone would have cost me half that. @rivera.henry has the right idea following grandmas, but even the markets felt pricey to me. Maybe I was just in the wrong spots. That shop owner gave you a real gift with that tip.
