Warning: My old way of checking for termite damage was costing me hours per job

Man, I feel that. I was still using a moisture meter and a good old pick for way too long. My turning point was finding soft spots in a floor joist that looked totally fine from the outside. After that, I got a basic borescope camera that connects to my phone. I drill a tiny pilot hole in a suspect area and can actually see inside the wood. It's not as high-tech as your setup, but seeing the actual frass and damage firsthand changed the game for me. What's the learning curve like with the thermal imaging?

My 2018 F-150's cam phaser rattle showed up right at 72,000 miles

Wasn't there a big forum thread about how some aftermarket lockout kits mess with the VCT system and throw a code? I remember reading a guy's post where he used a cheap set and his truck ran rough at idle, like it was hunting for the right timing constantly. He ended up pulling it all out and going with the Motorcraft phasers just to make it stop. Seems like that extra cost up front saves a ton of headache later.

Just realized I've been cutting my LVP planks wrong for years

Maybe he just got lucky with that specific batch of planks.

Paid $300 for a 'credit repair' service that just sent dispute letters I could have mailed myself...

Seriously, I saw the same thing! I paid like two-eighty for a jacket last month and the stitching came undone in a week. Honestly feels like they just slap a high price on stuff now and hope no one checks the quality.

Our group nearly split over the ending of 'The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo'

Was it the part about her daughter? That line always makes me wonder if some choices are too big to judge as just good or bad. Maybe the real fight is about what we forgive in the name of love.
