inSwitched to twist-on connectors after a panel fire scare at O'Hare last winter
Twist-ons saved my bacon on a similar job back in February. Found a crimp that had loosened up on a light fixture in a warehouse, almost burned the whole junction box. Swapped everything over to twist-ons that day and haven't looked back since.

inStumbled into a small engine shop in Tulsa that fixed my piston ring groove in 20 minutes
Man, I feel your pain with engine troubles and that place sounds like a real lifesaver.

inI finally stopped overstuffing my dried flower wreaths
Packed is the standard look for sure. Yours still has a nice shape though, especially with the color choices you used. Just saying, @the_nina, it's not bad if it's a little looser than usual.

inHad a mishap at a dig site in New Mexico last spring
Oh man, that's rough! I did something similar at a site in Colorado a couple years back. I was squatting down labeling some lithic flakes and my water bottle rolled right off my pack, smacked into the screening station, and sent a whole batch of charcoal samples flying into the dirt. It took me like two hours to try and separate the carbon bits from the regular soil with a magnifying glass. Still can't believe I didn't just toss the whole thing lol.

inHad a chat with a retired exec at a networking event that totally shifted my view on promotions
The VP had a point about hating Mondays. 75% of my old team jumped at management roles and now they complain about meetings and performance reviews nonstop. I've watched good engineers turn into unhappy middle managers just for a corner office they barely use. Sometimes staying hands on is the real win.
