inLocal stores are swapping to AI checkout, and the errors are piling up fast.
Allergy meds getting read as bell peppers three times, per abby_king22, is crazy. How does a computer mix up pills with vegetables? The fifty dollar watch charge for gum is even worse. These AI checkouts are supposed to save time, but they waste it with errors. I avoid them too after hearing stories like this.

inChiang Mai sim card hunts used to be my morning routine
Doubt that was ever a real adventure. It was just a hassle you had to deal with each morning. Getting a sim card at the airport is simply more convenient. Calling it an adventure feels like you are dressing up a boring task. Easy wins over hard any day.

inFloor sanding tip from a friend has me unsure
Yeah, that bit about stain sitting on top is interesting. What if there was some old sealer or even hand oils from moving the piece around? Sanding doesn't always fix that. Oak's just fussy sometimes.

inMy missing sock saga has me doubting the whole glitch hype
Check the back corner of your dryer drum and the rubber seal around the door, that's where my missing ones always end up. Honestly, static cling can launch a sock into another dimension, or just under the washer. Tbh, @jason_black2 has a point about reality being a bit wonky sometimes, but most of the time it's just normal forgetfulness mixed with bad luck. I've had a single sock vanish and then show up weeks later stuck inside a pant leg. Ngl, it's probably not a glitch, but it's fun to imagine a sock demon instead of my own messy laundry habits. Some stuff just stays a small mystery.

inBringing baked goods to virtual meetings is pointless if no one can taste them!
What, did you burn it or something?
