Question about the guy at the Bothell Library who told me my resume had too much on it
He said to cut mine from 2 pages to 1 and drop anything before 2015, and I got 2 callbacks in a week after months of nothing. Has anyone else had luck trimming theirs down like that?
The Bothell Library resume guy is basically Marie Kondo for job hunting. Same thing happened with my closet last year, I had shirts from 2012 I kept thinking "but what if I need this" and once I tossed them I actually started wearing the stuff I liked. My uncle's garage is the same way, 30 years of stuff and he can't even park in there. Resumes pile up old jobs like that, and nobody wants to dig through it. Cutting the clutter makes the good stuff stand out. Funny how "keep it short" works for almost everything.
