I used to think hourly rates were the only fair way to charge for my design work.
For years I tracked every 15 minutes, but after a logo project in Austin took 8 hours of revisions I wasn't paid for, I switched to flat project fees last month. Anyone else find that moving away from hourly billing actually protects your income better?

But flat fees can leave you underpaid for endless revisions too.

So what's the fix then? Just eat the cost if a client keeps asking for changes?
