I had to pick between a cheap client or a good one last month
A regular client offered me a big project for $500, but a new person wanted a small rush job for $200. I picked the new client because the money was fast. The job turned into a mess with endless changes, and I lost the steady work. Has anyone else had a small job eat up way more time than it was worth?

But it's just one month, right?

That one month can feel like a full year when you're in the middle of it. I remember waiting for a software update last March that was delayed four weeks, and the daily frustration was real. It's never "just" time when you're counting the days.

Learned that lesson the hard way too, @ruby_sanchez45, last year a "quick" job ate up my whole weekend.

Yeah, I used to be all "what's the big deal, it's just a month" but then I had a project drag out way longer than expected and it totally changed my perspective. Now I get why people warn about that stuff, your mileage may vary of course.
