Heads up about the new 'performance' fuel at the station on Route 9

Last Tuesday I filled my F-150's 36-gallon tank with that premium 'Xtreme' blend from the QuickFill near the interstate. By Thursday morning, the check engine light was on and it was running rough at idle. My mechanic in Springfield said he's seen three trucks this week with the same issue, all from that batch. He thinks it had some bad additive that gummed up the sensors. Cost me $220 to flush the system and replace a sensor. Has anyone else had problems with that specific gas station recently, or is it just a weird fluke?

That QuickFill has always been sketchy. Remember their "winter blend" diesel last year? My neighbor's old Dodge turned into a smoke machine for a week. He had to drop the tank and clean everything out himself. Seems like they cut corners with their special fuel mixes. Would not be surprised if this new stuff is from the same bad supplier. Definitely sticking to the big name stations from now on.

Actually, that station got new owners last month, so it might not be the same supplier. The old crew was definitely cutting corners, but I gave the place a fresh shot after the sale. My work van's been fine with their regular unleaded since the switch.
