Heard a customer at the market say they'd never buy flowers from a grocery store again
I was picking up some lunch at the deli counter yesterday and the person in front of me was talking to the cashier. They said, 'I bought those roses for my mom, and they were dead in two days. I'm never buying flowers from a grocery store again, I'll just go to a real florist.' It made me think about how we, as shop owners, don't always explain the difference. Our flowers are cut fresh, we process them right, and we know how to keep them alive. That person at the market probably got flowers that sat in a dry bucket for a week. Maybe we should be more open about telling customers the 'why' behind our prices and care. Do you all have a simple way you explain flower care and sourcing to new customers?

Remember my friend who got those sad tulips from the gas station? She saw my bouquet from the farmer's market and couldn't believe how long it lasted. I just told her they cut them that morning.
