My buddy swears by high temp hits but I'm all about flavor

I was vaping with my friend Dave last weekend and he kept cranking his Mighty up to 410F right away. I always start around 360F and slowly bump it up to get more taste out of each bowl. He said I'm wasting time and that the real clouds don't come until you hit 400+. But I got better flavor from those first few low temp hits. Now I'm wondering if I'm missing something by not going straight to high heat. Does anyone else save their low temp vapor for taste and then finish high for effects? Or is it better to just blast it hot from the start?

I started doing the same thing after I got a Solo 2, 360F gives you way better flavor on the first couple hits and the ABV still works fine for edibles later.

Wait, are you guys actually getting good ABV for edibles at 360F? I always thought you needed to go higher, like 380 or 390, to get the most out of the bud. But maybe I've been wasting it all this time by pushing it too hard. The flavor thing makes total sense though, my first hits at 360 taste like straight up herbs and not toast. Gonna try this tonight with my Solo 2 and see if the edibles still hit later. Bet the color of the ABV will be way lighter, almost like a golden green instead of that dark brown I'm used to.
