Had a whole thing about raw milk until my friend's farm gave me the tour

So I used to be super into the raw milk hype (you know, all the health claims and whatnot). Then last month my buddy who runs a small dairy in Vermont showed me his setup. He literally pulled a cow turd out of the bucket during milking and was like "yeah, that's normal." I ain't judging, but suddenly pasteurization made a whole lot of sense to me. Anyone else have a moment where seeing how something is actually made killed the conspiracy for you?

Yeah, that "mold scraping" thing got me too. I toured a cheese cave once and saw them just hosing mold off the wheels and calling it part of the process, and honestly it didn't stop me from eating it either.

Friend used to work at a hot sauce factory and told me about the mold scraping that goes on in the barrels. Still eat it though, guess some truths just don't stick.

Honestly @the_robert, that's just extra flavor with a side of denial, right?
