Saw a sidewalk repair in Denver that used a weird finish pattern

I was walking downtown last week and saw a crew fixing a section of sidewalk. They used a broom finish, but the lines were way closer together than normal, maybe half an inch apart. It looked almost like a fine-tooth comb. I've always spaced my broom lines about an inch or more for grip. Has anyone else seen this tight pattern? I'm curious if it's a new city rule for better slip resistance or just a crew's personal style.

Saw that same tight pattern in Boulder last month.

Boulder's pattern was probably just some rich guy's lawn sprinkler system. You see it all the time, @phoenixh74. People get excited over perfect green circles from a broken irrigation head. Next we'll be tracking the flight path of a rogue drone that looks like a black triangle.

Totally, I mean it's always something normal. I got all worked up over a line of lights in the sky last year, turned out to be Starlink satellites. My neighbor called the police about a silent black triangle, it was just one of those big fancy kites with LEDs. People see what they want to see.

Did you check the flight radar apps? I had a similar thing happen and it was just a crop duster doing late night runs. Their patterns look weird on the ground.
