inThe day my ladder pump decided to become a fountain
My bilge pump hose cracked last summer off Catalina. We tried a quick fix with duct tape and zip ties, but it just slowed the leak. Ended up hand bailing for two hours straight to get back to the dock.

inHonestly, the worst drafting week of my life was last month in Denver
Honestly, that backup gear struggle is a good test of your core skills. Working with slow tools forces you to plan better and be more efficient. It's not a total loss if you learn to work leaner.

inRemember when we used to eyeball everything from the cab?
Oh man, that reminds me of the time I tried to eyeball the oil level in my car. The dipstick looked fine in the garage light, but I was a whole quart low. Fried the engine on a road trip the next week. Now I check it three times in broad daylight, no shortcuts. Sometimes your gut is just tired.

inSomeone told me my star trails looked like 'spaghetti on a plate' and I finally get it now
Free is my favorite price. I tried stacking star photos once with some other app and my final image looked like a toddler smeared glow in the dark paint everywhere. Maybe I should actually try StarStaX instead of whatever that was.
