Hot take: I turned down a big raise to keep my work from home setup

My boss offered me a 15% pay bump last month, but it meant going back to the office full time. I said no. I did the math and the extra gas, lunches out, and just the 10 hours a week of commuting time wasn't worth it for me. My stress is way lower now and I get more done. Anyone else pick flexibility over more money and feel good about it?

You turned down a 15% raise? That's a huge amount of money to walk away from. I could never do that, even with the commute.

Used to think the same way. Then I spent two years losing three hours a day to a car and realized time is worth more.
