inI used to think you could eyeball the ladder pipe angle on a cutterhead dredge
Yeah, the part about chewing up the cutter teeth in twenty minutes really hits home. I read a case study from a dredging safety group that said most mechanical failures start with skipping the basic instrument checks, just like rosew37 said about hard lessons. They had a whole section on how even a few degrees off can put crazy stress on parts you don't even see. It's wild how a five second look at a gauge can save you from a week of downtime and a huge bill.

inMy bokashi bin disaster last Thursday changed my whole setup
Honestly why are we even doing this in a studio apartment? The whole point of bokashi is to have outdoor space to bury the stuff. Tbh that pickle juice leak is just a sign. I tried it last year and the smell never really goes away, even with a perfect bucket. You're gonna spend more time and money trying to find a magic container than you'll ever get back in compost for your one plant. Ngl it's just not a good fit for tiny spaces.

inHeard a client say he only trusts barbers who do a hot towel shave first
Honestly, I feel like it's just a gimmick for higher prices.

inPSA: My new magnesium float cracked clean in half on a driveway job in Spokane last Thursday.
Magnesium floats are pretty much disposable tools anyway.

What are you even doing to feel like a zombie, @daniel511? It's just a number. Sounds like you're making it a bigger deal than it is. People go way harder on way less sleep all the time. Maybe you just need better habits or something. Not everything has to be some huge dramatic event.
