Shoutout to the tech at the Whirlpool training center in Knoxville

I was at a class there last month and saw him fix a weird washer error code by just unplugging the main board for a full minute. He said the newer models with the 'W' series boards can get stuck in a soft reset loop. I've tried it on three jobs since then and it worked every time. Has anyone else found a simple trick like that for clearing codes without swapping parts right away?

Oh man, my buddy had a similar thing with a fridge that wouldn't stop beeping. He just held the door switch down for ten seconds and it reset the whole system.

Isn't it weird how so many appliances now have these hidden reset tricks? My microwave did the same thing last month, a weird button combo to clear an error code. Feels like everything's got a secret menu now just to make it work right.

All these hidden resets are basically the same thing as turning your phone off and on again, just with extra steps. Every piece of tech now has a secret way to clear its own brain without getting a technician involved. It's like the manufacturers know their stuff will glitch out but don't want to admit it.
