My sister's wedding in Austin changed how I do chicken wings

They had a catering disaster, so I threw three pounds of frozen wings into my air fryer at 400 degrees for 22 minutes. They saved the day and were way better than any oven-baked ones I've done. Anyone have a good dry rub recipe for a big batch like that?

Skip the thaw honestly, it just makes them soggy. Toss them straight from the freezer into a hot air fryer basket and they get super crispy. That dry skin is perfect for holding onto any rub you throw at it.

Well that explains the suspicious popping sounds. Guess I got lucky with my kitchen fire drill. For a big batch, just mix equal parts garlic powder, smoked paprika, and brown sugar with a good amount of black pepper and salt. It sticks to the wings really well, even straight from frozen.

Just a heads up, frozen wings in the air fryer usually need a quick thaw first for safety.
