Hot take: competition ribs are overrated comfort food

Does this kind of precision vs. "going with your gut" thing show up in other parts of life too, @bettyhunt? I see it all the time with friends who swear by detailed meal prepping versus those who just throw stuff together and call it dinner.

Chat with an IT guy at my dentist's office made me paranoid about my router

I was just reading something the other day about how people's routers get hacked through exactly this, default passwords are like the number one thing they scan for. It's not even about someone targeting you specifically, more like automated bots just sweep through neighborhoods looking for easy access. I finally changed mine after my neighbor's kid somehow got onto my WiFi and kept messing with my printer, that was enough to freak me out. It only took like ten minutes to log into the router settings and swap the password, definitely worth doing if you ask me.

Tried making a mountain range using salt dough for my map

Can't really bake playdough, @lisar14. Low temp just dries it out and makes it crack. Next time try air dry clay instead. That stuff holds shape way better. And yeah, always cover your projects with a bowl or towel. Cats are sneaky like that. My buddy lost a whole batch of terrain pieces to his dog once. Learned the hard way.

Canned tuna and mayo is boring, so I tried adding crushed chips

Hold up, you were just casually eating gas station tuna while road tripping near Flagstaff? That's the real shocker here, not the BBQ chips.

Serious question, has anyone else had a book club pick totally fall flat?

Oh for sure, the "self help book in a fiction costume" is exactly what bugged me at first too. Then I read an interview where the author said she wrote it during a rough patch, which made me see the forced library framing as less of a gimmick and more of a coping mechanism she was working through. @tyler614, I'm with you on the regret thing clicking after hearing someone explain it better.
