The self-checkout at my usual pharmacy scanned my allergy meds as bell peppers three times last month... I had to call over a staff member each time, and they just shrugged like it happens all day. Once it charged me for a fifty dollar watch when I was buying gum, and reversing it took forever. You start to wonder if the hassle is worth the supposed convenience... now I just avoid those lanes if I can.

Allergy meds getting read as bell peppers three times, per abby_king22, is crazy. How does a computer mix up pills with vegetables? The fifty dollar watch charge for gum is even worse. These AI checkouts are supposed to save time, but they waste it with errors. I avoid them too after hearing stories like this.
