@troyp37 totally called it with the silicones thing. My sister put some random "miracle" oil stuff on her balayage last year and it turned this weird greenish color, had to chop off like 3 inches. Ended up using that same serum as a makeup brush cleaner since it was useless on hair anyway.

Honestly I think the whole "is it cheating" thing misses the point. The podcast deep dive is a different tool for a different job. Audiobooks give you the experience of the story, podcasts give you the analysis. If your book club is more about discussing themes and ideas than about bonding over the reading experience itself, then the podcast makes total sense. Plus some books are just written in a style that's hard to follow by ear, especially dense literary fiction or books with a lot of shifting perspectives. I've used both and I don't feel guilty about it. The real question is whether your club values the journey or the destination more.

@ivan82 dude that sticky note thing is exactly the kind of stuff that keeps me up at night honestly. I've seen some sketchy paperwork at my hangar too but nothing that wild. It's weird how the regs let smaller birds get away with single sign offs on major work, I always figured an engine swap would be the one thing you'd want a second set of eyes on no matter what type it is.

Heard an old timer say the same thing at a clinic once. My buddy's farrier did the full rasp down on her horse and sure enough six weeks later cracks showed up right along the side wall. She was pissed because the horse was supposed to be sound for a 50 mile ride. Switched to a new farrier who only touches the toe and heel with a rasp and the hooves look way better now. No more side wall cracks at all. I think it depends on the hoof but that story made me pretty cautious about over rasping the sides.
