inPSA: Stop over-scrubbing during extractions
Does that light touch actually get out deep blackheads though or does it just work better on surface stuff? I've been scared to try less pressure cause im sure im just gonna leave half the gunk in there.

inSerious question, does anyone actually use a power hammer for forge welding?
You're romanticizing the old ways too much. "Lose the feel" is just code for being stubborn about progress. A power hammer gives you consistent results every time, not some mystical "feel" that changes depending on how hungover you are that morning. I'd rather trust a machine that does the same thing at 8am as it does at 5pm. Get good enough with the tool and you learn the timing just fine, you're not missing anything important.

inDebate: Did that expensive fermentation crock save me or just waste my cash?
Switched to airlock lids myself after killing a batch of pickles, @maxm63, and never looked back.

inVent: How I miss working on engines without all the electronics in the way
That Excel macro I spent 3 hours on last week does in 30 seconds what used to take me an afternoon. And @camerona79 is right, the real trick is learning to be real specific with what you ask for. I finally figured out how to make it sort my columns just by hitting one button instead of clicking through menus every time. It is so satisfying to watch it zip through the work while I just sit there sipping coffee.

inUsed to watch shows with commercials, now I can't handle them at all
Wait, is it just me or did anyone else actually defend commercials back in the day? I used to say things like "the breaks help me get snacks" or "it gives me time to talk to my family." Then I started watching Succession on HBO Max and now I can't even handle YouTube ads without getting annoyed. My little cousin put on a Nickelodeon show on cable and I was literally tapping my leg the whole time waiting for the episode to come back. Streaming really rewires your brain, I swear.
