I was working on a jacket for a friend's birthday back in 2017, sitting on my apartment floor in Portland. 3 hours in, I realized I had attached the left sleeve to the right armhole. Had already double stitched it and everything. Instead of ripping it all out, I just flipped the whole pattern around and made it work as a design choice. Told her it was "asymmetrical chic." She believed me for like 6 months until she tried it on in front of a mirror. Has anyone else ever just gone with a mistake instead of fixing it?

I usually get about two weeks out of mine, but I hit capacity this Monday morning. I think it's because I went wild at the farmer's market and bought a huge bag of spinach that went sad in the fridge. I layered in some extra bokashi bran and let it sit for a day before adding more. Has anyone else noticed their bin fills way faster in spring when produce is everywhere?

I've been using paper tape for 15 years and figured that fiberglass mesh stuff was just marketing hype for homeowners. Grabbed a roll of mesh tape from the truck out of desperation and it laid flat on the first try. Anyone else been burned by a product they thought was garbage but turned out to be the real deal?

Was against those clear caulk tubes until I saw my neighbor's bathroom

I always used the white paintable stuff because it was cheaper by like $2. He did his shower surround 8 months ago with the clear silicone and there's zero yellowing or mold. I just spent Sunday ripping out my old caulk and redoing it, wish I'd done this from the start. Anyone else switch and never go back?

I was always that guy who pulled out his physical card even when the terminal had the tap symbol. Felt like mobile wallets were just another way for banks to track my spending or whatever. Then last Tuesday I'm at a Shell station in Phoenix and my card gets declined because the chip reader is busted. The guy behind me just holds his phone up to the terminal and pays in 2 seconds while I'm fumbling with cash. He told me his Google Pay has never failed him in 3 years of daily use. I set it up that night and now I'm annoyed about all the times I held up lines for no reason. Anyone else have a random moment that made them switch over?
