Oh man, that weird back room section with all the grainy VHS covers. I caught some show about how those stores were basically conspiracy hubs before the internet. They'd get those weird bootleg documentaries mixed in with the normal movies, and nobody questioned it. My local spot had a whole shelf labeled "UFO Research" next to the kids' cartoons. Pretty sure the clerk just made up half those titles himself.

That's a really good point from @michaelsmith. It feels like a lot of monthly subscriptions are like that, where you're just paying for the idea of something you don't actually use much. Spotting where that happens can save so much cash.

Seriously, I scan every label now after a similar garlic disaster.
