Pro tip: Always check what you're actually buying at foreign grocery stores

I was in a market in Spain and picked up a jar thinking it was mayonnaise for my sandwich. It turned out to be a strong garlic paste, and I used a huge spoonful. My breath was so bad that my video call clients kept muting themselves. Now I carefully read labels or take pictures to translate.

Use Google Translate on your phone camera, it scans labels instantly. Saved me from buying hair conditioner as cooking cream in Italy.

Ever had it fail on tricky stuff like shampoo versus body wash?

Seriously, I scan every label now after a similar garlic disaster.
