My car keys were in the freezer for three days straight last week.
I found them next to a box of waffles, and I have zero memory of putting them there. Anyone else have stuff just teleport to the weirdest places?

Right? It's like your hands just do their own thing. I've put my phone in the fridge more times than I can count.

The fridge is actually the most common place. I read a study on this once. Our brains just sort of short circuit.

My theory is it's a weird leftover from our hunter-gatherer days. You finish a task and your brain goes into "cache the food" mode, so your hands just put whatever you're holding into the nearest cold, dark space. Makes the phone in the freezer seem almost logical. What's the weirdest place you've found something?
