I tried to be clever with my router password and locked myself out for a whole weekend

Had to get the whole module flashed at the dealer" - wait, they couldn't even just plug in a new computer chip?

My neighbor's kid asked me why I don't just get a normal job

My buddy's kid asked me the same thing a few years ago when he saw me working on inventory spreadsheets from home. He goes "so you don't have a real boss?" and for a second I felt like I had to defend myself. But then I realized he was just curious, not judging. That question stuck with me too because it showed how deep that "normal job" idea goes. I think that kid's simple question made you see your own journey clearer. The not knowing is scary but it keeps things interesting. You keep choosing the freedom every day and that's what makes it yours.

Shoutout to the $35 meat thermometer that saved Christmas dinner

The old dial thermometer tricked me for years too. That 25 degree difference is wild, especially with a 12 pound bird riding on it. I almost ruined a roast chicken last month before I switched to digital. Cheap insurance honestly.

Shoutout to the buyer's agent who pointed out my staging was too cluttered

Ngl that strict limit probably saves you from buying random junk at TJ Maxx too.

Found out my 15 year old tamper was actually a bottle cap

Gotta admit I always ROLLED my eyes when people said the tamper matters that much. Thought it was just espresso snobs overthinking everything. But your story actually got me. I've been using this old plastic handled tamper my dad gave me and now I'm wondering if it's secretly trash too. Never thought to check if the handle was just some random bottle cap glued on there. Makes me want to go look at mine right now.
